Trying to get the unruly goat Luke to pose with Otto’s feature in the paper 😂 he was more interested in the leaves than the lovely photos ! I also wanted to say a huge thank you to all those who came this year. You brought the energy and the fun come rain or shine :) It is always so nice meeting all the lovely pumpkin pickers and talking all things pumpkins ! I hope some of the culinary experts out there managed to chef up a storm with the pumpkins and squashes !

Cooking with Pumpkins 🎃 🎃 Any of you who have visited the patch will know how much we love cooking with our pumpkins and squashes !! And true to form here are some of our pumpkins being out to the test in the kitchens of Braintree’s @thehousebyhillygant 🍽 It’s pumpkin spinach and feta Spanakopita. Have no clue what it is either but it looks delicious !😋 Should we try and do a collab to get some exclusive recipes ??

🎃 Who’s excited for our ticket launch tomorrow at 10am .. well Otto’s Grandpa is certainly in the fan club ! 🎃 An avid fan and a guiding hand, all this wouldn’t be possible without his steadfast support - so three cheers to the Grandpa ! He is just one of the 7 generations of our family who have farmed the land here. Crazy when you think about it ! 🌳

☕️ 🧁 Need another reason to get excited about our Thursday 10am ticket launch? 🧁 ☕️ Well … @mylittledrinksvan will be providing all your delicious chocolate brownies, your pumpkin soups and course the pumpkin spiced lattes. (Other products are available haha !) They serve it all with a smile on their faces and out of a beautiful Citroen van. We love them and we know you will too !

What you’ve all been waiting for … Part 3 of trying to grow a monster pumpkin 🎃 As yet no sign of the monster though 🤔

Harvest is in full swing 🌾 🌾 Otto’s dad and the team have just finished the wheat harvest. There are now only beans and oats to go, so almost there ! We caught a few lovely photos of our combine harvester in the field right next to the pumpkins 🎃

Throwback to planting our pumpkins this year 🌱 We dusted down our 1950’s tractor to help us out with the job. For those who heard our story last year it was definitely way easier than doing it with a hiking pole and hosepipe ! This year we still had to manually drop every seed into the hole dug by the tractor. Crucially though we didn’t have to stop after dropping every seed which made it much quicker. Turns out some of the old school techniques can still work pretty well haha. Onwards and upwards 🎃 🎃
